1.Membership
Membership is open to all individuals aged 16 and above who have attended or are attending a British public school. Individuals under 16 years of age attending British public schools may join the Children’s’ Chapter with their parent’s consent. Details of the Children’s’ Chapter will be formulated by the Committee in its first meeting.
It is expected that members will contribute to the running of the group by way of membership fees, the amount to be determined by the Committee on a yearly basis. Initial fees upon joining will include a one-off payment for capital development that will be used towards the group acquiring a permanent premises. Annual membership fees will go towards management costs and towards events, taking into consideration that all administration staff will be voluntary.
Membership is valid for a year and renewable upon payment of membership fees.
2. Benefits
Spouses and children of members will be permitted to attend specific events that the committee will determine. For some events tickets will be sold to members of the public to maximise fundraising.
Members will be provided with a membership card. The card will enable them to utilise benefits from a variety of establishments in the country and to attend certain events such as the Goat Races.
The committee will work towards providing members with discounted travel to British social events and where possible organise group travel to such events.
Members of like professions will be encouraged to form sub-groups to support, assist and network for their own benefit.
Members will enjoy discounted school fees for any British public school branches set up in Tanzania.
Members will consent to their details being entered into the Group’s database to assist in members networking and to enhance their business opportunities
