Introduction
- Patrons
Ceremonial in positions, patrons will guide the group to ensure that the values, manners, and traditions vital to the group are maintained.
- Founders
The core of the initial group are the founders (4) who through their vision and foresight established the group. Providing guidance and direction, the Founders will oversee the management of the group for their lifetimes. Upon their demise their role will cease to exist, and the committee will take on their responsibilities.
During their lifetime, the founders will vet all applications for committee members and have the final decision as to who will be appointed. Upon their demise the Committee will take over this responsibility.
- Committee
The Group will be managed by a committee made up of three sections: administration, treasury and, media and communication. Each section will be headed by a member and supported with as many members as the committee deems necessary to fulfil the section’s duties.
The Committee will meet every end of the month at a designated venue.
The heads of each section will be nominated and voted in by a majority vote of members in an annual general meeting of the group.
Terms of reference for each group will be set by the committee under the guidance of the founders.
- Administration – will manage the day to day running of the group, maintain membership and organise activities.
- Treasury – manage all financial aspects of the group, maintain cordial relationships with tax authorities and ensure all requisite government payments are made in a timely manner.
- Media and communications – ensure that the group and its activities are presented appropriately in print and social media, and act as the public relations arm of the group.
- Members – individuals who have attended British public schools are welcome to become members for a fee comprised of the initial joining fee which includes a capital development fee and the annual membership fee. Upon applying, potential members will need to provide proof of attendance at their said school. Such proof may be school pictures, GCSE or A’ Level certificates.
- Annual general meetings – once a year, a date to be determined by the committee all members will be requested to attend a meeting of the group to decide on a variety of issues that the Committee will present and to vote on such issues where necessary. Voting will by majority of however many members are present. Voting by proxy will not be permitted.
